Restoring classic cars since the 90's
British Sports Cars Africa was founded in Benoni central during the late 1990s by Graham Austen after a very successful career within several organisations related to the motor trade. Native from Britain, he decided to reignite his passion for British motoring and started restoring British sports cars.
Graham is an avid British sports car lover and was a saloon race car driver in Britain during the '60s. With extensive knowledge and know-how to build the company into a well-known restoration workshop for British cars specialising in Jaguar, not only in South Africa but worldwide.
In November 2017, Graham Austin decided to retire and sold the business to current owner Piet Bateman. With the same passion for all British sports cars, it made sense for Piet to take over the reins from Graham.
Having worked in the motor industry for several years, of which the last 13-years was at a well known Jaguar restoration company in Johannesburg gives the current owner a lot of experience, technical expertise and a vast knowledge related to Classic British sports cars.
All through the initial owner has retired recently, the new owner vouch to maintain and improve the high standards and quality of work done in the past.
To begin with British Sports cars concentrated on restorations and repairs of classic and vintage cars. To stay current, we now service and repair modern vehicles and upgrade the classics to be more drivable and enjoyable in present times.
